Haggai 2:1-9

I want to post this - so everyone will know how Great our God is!

Let's go back to several months ago during the time when Jeff and I was working on the house. I was at a point of frustration, not sure how everything was going to work out. Was it going to be the way that we had imagined it could be? Would we be able to finish several of the projects? I know several people that talk about being able to take the Bible and just open it up to find the special message that their soul is searching for that day. That had never happened to me and I just needed peace about the whole situation. So I took a New Student Bible NIV, I closed my eyes and I said "Lord, I need some peace, I'm frustrated, please show me Your Word". I opened the Bible up and laid my hand on the page, took three fingers to point at the scripture and then I opened my eyes to see that I ended up on Haggai 2:1-9 The title for this section of scripture is "The Promised Glory of the New House" WOW! Let me share it with you.

On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai: "Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people. Ask them, 'Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing? But now be strong, O Zerubbabel,' declares the Lord. 'Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,' declares the Lord, 'and work. For I am with you,' declares the Lord Almighty. This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.' This is what the Lord Almighty says: 'In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the Lord Almighty. 'The silver is mine and the gold is mine,' declares the Lord Almighty. The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the Lord Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the Lord Almighty."

Is that not powerful? The house is Beautiful and Peaceful! Everyone who visits loves to sit out back and watch the beautiful sunsets that God paints for us each night. To see the storms coming across from the west and watching the lightning. We've enjoyed firework shows that we could see at one time from several counties from miles away sitting on top of this hill. We've found fertile soil and planted and enjoyed a vegetable garden with our friends and family.

Our God is Great!
